Dr. Newgent discusses narcolepsy and what it really means for the primary care physician.

The Indiana Osteopathic Association is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians and designates this program for a maximum of 0.50 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.
It is the policy of the IOA that any physician dissatisfied with the CME program will be issued a refund upon request, and no CME credits will be reported to the AOA. Complaints on Evaluation Forms also are taken into consideration when planning future CME programs and may lead to changes in the format or content.

Dr. Newgent is an occupational medicine physician in Green Bay, WI. He has been in practice for over 30 years in a wide variety of settings and specialties. Dr. Newgent graduated with a D.0. degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine (DMUCOM) in Des Moines, IA. He completed a rotating internship at Des Moines General Hospital and served in the U. S. Air Force as an emergency physician. He was board certified in and practiced emergency medicine for 17 years. Dr. Newgent also received a M.S. in administrative medicine from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI. He practiced sleep medicine full-time for 13 years. He is board certified in family medicine, sleep medicine, and occupational medicine.
Dr. Newgent discloses that he has no relevant financial relationships with any organization producing, marketing, reselling or distributing health care goods or services consumed by, or used on, patients relative to the content of this presentation.
